DOWNTOWN BROOKLYN — They may not be able to see into the future, but they’ve got a pretty good idea.

Five Downtown Brooklyn innovators at Tuesday’s third annual 5x10 Talks will each answer one lofty question in just 10 minutes: “What’s next?”

This year’s TED Talk-like forum at BRIC will feature five local powerhouses — BlocPower founder Donnel Baird, Gimlet Media co-founder Alex Blumberg, Brooklyn Academy of Music President Katy Clark, Top Chef alum and Three Kings Restaurant Group owner Dale Talde, and Ms. Foundation for Women President Teresa Younger.

The speakers, whose areas of expertise range from startup media to cleaner energy for inner cities, will deliver a 10-minute pitch on their vision for the future.

"We are proud to bring together five of the borough’s brightest leaders — all of whom have a connection to our neighborhood — to hear about their vision for “what’s next” in their respective fields," said Downtown Brooklyn Partnership president Tucker Reed in a statement. "But this event isn't just about discussing the future, it's about putting together potential collaborators in the same room and seeing what kind of greatness can result."

The event will also feature cultural presentations from the Brooklyn Music School, the New York Writers Coalition and public arts group Cause Collective.

VIP guests can mingle with the speakers and performers at a special reception at 6:30 p.m. that will include food from Mile End Deli and Rucola, plus beer from Brooklyn Brewery.

The 5x10 talks will run from 7:30 to 9 p.m.

General admission is $50, and VIP admission is $100. All proceeds will support free community events hosted by the Downtown Brooklyn Partnership.
