DOWNTOWN BROOKLYN — Westchester Italian eatery Fortina is headed to Brooklyn with a spot at Dekalb Market, the massive new food hall set to open this year in Downtown Brooklyn.

The restaurant announced the move on its social media pages saying, “No sleep ‘til Brooklyn.”

Fortina, which is known for its wood-oven pizzas, will be leasing more than 5,600 square feet at the new food hall, according to Eater NY which first reported the move.

Unlike most vendors at Dekalb Market, Fortina will be a full restaurant that will seat about 130 people, Eater reports.

A few dishes will be unique to Brooklyn, but signature meals like the Luigi Bianco and Famous Ray’s pizzas, fried meatballs, roasted bone marrow and handmade pasta will remain, according to LoHud.com.

Fortina currently has three other locations in Armonk, Rye Brook and Stamford, and another is on its way to Yonkers.

Dekalb Market Hall will bring 55 food vendors, including Katz’s Delicatessen, Steve’s Ice Cream and Fletcher’s Brooklyn Barbecue, to the massive City Point development at Flatbush Avenue and Fulton Street.

The 26,000-square-foot hall will be located on the ground floor of the industrial-style space.

Local Culture Management, which also operates Foragers Market and Dumbo General Store, will run the food court, set to open this spring.
