CLINTON HILL — An angry deli customer who didn’t like the way his sandwich was being made punched his server in the face and then left with the offending meal — along with a Snapple and a box of condoms — all without paying, according to police.
The customer ordered a sandwich from Farmer in the Deli at 541 Myrtle Avenue on Jan 8. at 6 p.m., but became irate because the deli employee wasn’t making the sandwich to his liking, the NYPD said.
The 28-year-old deli employee told the customer to “suck" my "d---,” prompting the customer to rush around the counter and punch him in the face, according to police.
The two started arguing and the customer eventually grabbed the sandwich, an accompanying drink and a pack of Magnum condoms before leaving without paying.
A deli employee confirmed the incident took place, but declined further comment Wednesday.
Police said the case has been closed, although it wasn’t clear if any arrests had been made.
