RED HOOK — Almost $40,000 in cash and electronics were stolen from Red Hook seafood bar Brooklyn Crab in a local burglary spree that's hit three other eateries since August, police said.
Thieves broke into the restaurant at 24 Reed St. on Sunday Oct. 18 around 4:50 a.m. and fled with a $500 safe holding $36,000 in cash and electronics worth $2,600, authorities said.
The burglary at Brooklyn Crab is connected to three other incidents that have taken place in Park Slope and Greenwood Heights since August, police said.

Police have released photos of the suspected burglars wanted in connection to the break-ins.
On Aug. 18, the thieves stole a safe and roughly $1,500 from Cafe Dada in Park Slope, located at 57 7th Ave. around 8:20 p.m.
In the second incident, thieves struck Bar Toto — one of Mayor Bill de Blasio's favorite hangouts — on Aug. 22 at 1:30 a.m. The suspects used a crowbar to break in and steal $1,500 from the register.
On the same day at 3:30 a.m., thieves snuck into Greenwood Park, a beer garden at 555 7th Ave., and made away with a safe containing about $24,450.
