Woman Beaten on Smith Street Train Platform, Police Say

CARROLL GARDENS — Police are searching for a woman who tried to rob a 41-year-old victim in the Smith-Ninth Street subway station last week.

The female victim was standing on the F/G train platform when the suspect approached her and demanded her cellphone on roughly 3:20 p.m. on Oct. 15, according to the NYPD.

Two other female suspects then approached the victim and began to assault her, police said.

The suspects fled the scene without any property.

The victim took a photograph of the suspect who demanded her phone from her. Authorities are circulating the picture. 

The victim was taken to New York Methodist Hospital with bruising on her face.
