FORT GREENE — A 27-year-old man choked, kicked and punched three police officers as they tried to arrest him, according to the NYPD.

Shatee Denmark was taken down using Mace, batons and a taser after attacking police officers who tried to arrest him for an old charge of riding a bike on the sidewalk, according to authorities.

The fracas went down just after midnight on Oct. 13 when officers approached Shatee Denmark and three others because they were playing loud music at 152 North Elliott Walk at the Whitman Houses, according to the NYPD.

When Denmark was found to have an open warrant, officers started to arrest him, authorities said.

Denmark tried to avoid being handcuffed by hitting and kicking at the officers and landed a punch on the left side of one officer's face, the NYPD said. He placed another officer in a chokehold, according to prosecutors, bruising his face and sending him to the hospital.

Police used physical force, Mace, batons and a taser to subdue him, according to authorities.

A third officer's right hand was injured in the fight, sending him to the hospital as well, according to prosecutors.

Denmark's lawyer did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
