VINEGAR HILL — Do you have a vision for the area between the BQE and the Brooklyn Bridge?

Urban designers hatching plans for the proposed "Brooklyn Strand" will meet with community members next Monday to share ideas for the Vinegar Hill to Fort Greene stretch.

The Strand would create a safer and more inviting corridor for pedestrians and bikers in the area, according to the Downtown Brooklyn Partnership.

“Community vision is the driving force of the Brooklyn Strand," said the Partnership's director of real estate and planning, Alan Washington. "The upcoming public workshop is an opportunity for stakeholders to voice their ideas to develop a vision for areas under and along the BQE – from the Brooklyn and Manhattan bridges to Commodore Barry Park.”

In March, project designers WXY presented plans for the first half of the Strand stretch, a marketplace around the base of the Brooklyn Bridge.

The workshop takes place Sept. 21 at 6 p.m. at the Willoughby Senior Center at 105 N. Portland Ave. between Park Ave. and Myrtle Ave.
