FORT GREENE — The Federers of Fulton Street will takes on the Djokovics of Dekalb in Fort Greene’s annual tennis championship this weekend.

The neighborhood’s top-seeded players this year compete in the Fort Greene Tennis Association’s year-end ladder tournament Sept. 19 and 20. The first round matches run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday. Finals and semi-finals take place Sunday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Fort Greene Park tennis courts near Dekalb Avenue.

The top 16 players out of more than 60 local regulars won spots in the tournament over the course of more than 250 matches this season, the Fort Greene Tennis Association said.

On Sept. 8, association volunteers filled the cracks in the courts, according to their Facebook page.
