267 Affordable Housing Units Coming to Downtown Brooklyn and DUMBO

DOWNTOWN BROOKLYN — Downtown Brooklyn's building boom will yield 267 affordable apartments out of about 1,400 units being built this year, according to the city's Department of Housing Preservation & Development.

Work was ongoing at the sites Monday.

Here's where the units will be located:

350 LIVINGSTON ST. aka 333 SCHERMERHORN ST.

333 Schermerhorn St.

A 577-foot, 581-unit glass giant from the Steiner family will house 103 affordable units out of a total 746, according to HPD.

 

33 BOND ST.

33 Bond St.


Right down the street from 333 Schermerhorn, 33 Bond St. will house 714 apartments, 143 of which will be affordable, according to HPD. The developers bought the land for $70 million, according to New York YIMBY.

181 FRONT ST.

181 Front St.

In DUMBO, a swanky new rental building on an old lot belonging to the Jehovah's Witness Watchtower organization, according to city records, will include 21 affordable apartments in its 105-unit building.
