FORT GREENE — Ever wondered how to get a job working for the city?

The Department of Citywide Administrative Services is presenting two "NYC Civil Service 101" nights in Brooklyn on Aug. 18 and 19 to answer that question.

The workshops will reveal the path to "a career with great benefits and opportunities to climb the professional ladder," according to the agency's flier.

The department will give out information about the timeline for applying for city jobs, types of positions, how to apply, fee waivers, exams, interviews and the waiting list.

Tuesday's event is located in the gymnasium of the Ingersoll Community Center at 177 Myrtle Ave. and begins at 6 p.m. The workshop on Aug. 19 starts at 6 p.m. at Medgar Evers College at 1650 Bedford Ave. in the Edison O. Jackson auditorium.

The event is free and open to the public. Contact the office of City Councilwoman Laurie Cumbo, who is hosting the event, at 212-788-7081 with questions.
