Man Cashes Stolen Checks and Withdraws $2K, NYPD Says

BROOKLYN - Police are looking for the man who stole $2,000 from a woman by cashing checks and withdrawing money from her account at a Downtown Brooklyn bank last month, according to the NYPD.

The man was seen cashing two checks worth $1,500, and then taking out $500 in cash using a woman's stolen debit card at the Chase bank, according to police.

On July 7 around 10:15 a.m., the victim's bank notified her of the unlawful transactions. 

A photo of the suspect using the stolen debit card to make the withdrawl was caught on surveillance camera.
