PROSPECT-LEFFERTS GARDENS — A cabbie snatched his passenger's phone after an argument and drove away — only to return five minutes later to throw the phone and a glass bottle at her, police said.

The 39-year-old cab driver and his 19-year-old passenger got into an argument about the price of her ride at roughly 6 a.m. on June 6.

The cab had stopped on Winthrop Street near Bedford Avenue, and after several minutes of arguing, the cabbie snatched the woman's cell phone out of her hand and drove away, officials said.

Five minutes later, he returned and tossed her cell phone out of the car window and then threw a glass bottle at her, police said.

The victim, who was not injured, called police who searched the area for the driver and arrested him nearby on Nostrand Avenue, south of Union Street, police said.

The driver is being charged with four misdemeanors and a violation, according to court records, including menacing with a weapon in the second degree.

Other notable crimes in this week’s blotter from the 71st Precinct in Crown Heights and Prospect-Lefferts Gardens include:

► A teenage boy snatched a Swarovski crystal pendant necklace off the neck of a 47-year-old woman who was walking on East New York Avenue near Schenectady Avenue at about 4:40 p.m. on June 6. After a brief struggle, the suspect fled north on Schenectady.

► Thieves broke into the bedroom window of 280 Crown St. and stole six pieces of jewelry worth $1,780, police said. The burglary took place between the morning of June 8 and the evening of June 9, police said. The thieves took rings, necklaces and bracelets.
