MANHATTAN— As the rap world mourned the loss of Andre Hudson — a.k.a. Huddy 6 or Huddy Combs — the Harlem figure's Twitter account remained online, offering a glimpse into the days before his death.

"Goodmorn kids is off 2school," Hudson, who had been a member of Mase's "Harlem World" rap group in the late '90s, wrote. "God is Good,,life is good,,god bless everyone n may ya day be good!!"

Hudson, 33, died early Wednesday morning while driving to New Jersey over the George Washington Bridge, a Port Authority spokesman said. He was behind the wheel of his 2000 Mercury Marquis when it collided with a tractor-trailer on the bridge around 5:20 a.m, according to the Port Authority.

Following his work with "Harlem World,", Hudson rose to prominence as an event promoter in Harlem. He was also a close associate of Cam'ron, the Grammy-nominated rapper and actor, whom he'd grown up with in Harlem, according to MTV.com.

But even after he and his childhood friend achieved fame and fortune on the national stage, Hudson's tweets in the days before his death suggest that he maintained the dog-eat-dog mentality of his youth.

"[W]hy settle when its more money out there " Hudson asked his Twitter followers earlier this month. "[G]et up n go get!!!Hunt folks chase the dream."

The morning before his death, Hudson again encouraged his followers to achieve financial success.

"Don't forget to chase the $$," he wrote. "Focus up."
