FORT GREENE — The lineup has been announced for this year's Afropunk Fest in Fort Greene — but for the first time ever, concertgoers will have to pony up to see the talent.

Lenny Kravitz, Grace Jones and Lauryn Hill will headline the 11th annual music festival, which will cost $40 for a day's admission, $70 for the weekend, and $130-$225 for VIP tickets that include food, cocktails, private bathrooms and gifts.

Organizers decided to charge for the event after more than 60,000 people attended last year's festival — where where D’Angelo, Body Count and Shabazz Palaces rocked the stages at Commodore Barry Park — and several were turned away for lack of space, according to the event's website.

Fans can also volunteer at the festival in exchange for a free ticket as part of the "Afropunk Army" program.

This year's performers also include Kelis, Danny Brown, Suicidal Tendencies, Kele, Thundercat, Cakes Da Killa, Goldlink, Raury, Petite Noir, Curtis Harding, Kaytranada and more.

Afropunk is widely known as the nation's premier event for alternative black music and was founded in Brooklyn in 2005. The festival recently expanded to Atlanta and Paris, and is headed to Washington D.C. and Oakland, Ca. later this year.
