By Janet Upadhye | May 5, 2015 3:13pm

FORT GREENE — Two people were shot outside a Fort Greene bookstore Monday night after a fight broke out nearby, police said.

The shooting took place outside Greenlight Bookstore about 8 p.m. where a reading was taking place, police and staff at the bookstore said. They declined further comment.

Staff present at the time of the shooting could not be reached.

It is also nearby the popular eatery Habana Outpost, but officials there could not immediately be reached for comment.

A 17-year-old man was shot in the head and taken to Woodhull Hospital in stable condition. Police believe the victim was part of the fight, they said.

A 23-year-old woman, who police believe was an innocent bystander, was grazed by a bullet near her shoulder and taken to New York Methodist in stable condition, NYPD said.

It is unclear what started the fight and no arrests were made, according to police.
