DOWNTOWN BROOKLYN — A Fort Greene teenager was arrested for shooting a bystander outside a Flatbush Avenue McDonald's during an after-school brawl, police said.

The shooting, which left a 20-year-old victim shot in the knee and hospitalized, happened after a fight broke out between two groups of teens inside the McDonald's at 395 Flatbush Ave. Extension around 4 p.m. on April 13, police said.

The brawl moved outside to Hudson Avenue where the suspect left the scene for a few minutes and Markeese Scott, 16, returned with a gun, according to the NYPD.

The suspect fired two rounds, one of which hit the victim, who told police that he was watching the fight but was not involved.

Police used surveillance footage of the incident to track down the suspect, an NYPD source said.

Police arrested the shooter, who has nine prior arrests — that include assault, menacing and robbery — on April 21 around 5 p.m.

Scott was charged with felony assault and criminal possession of a weapon and was set to be arraigned in Brooklyn Criminal Court.

Information was not immediately available for Scott's lawyer.
