Friday, Feb. 20
This week the New York Hall of Science has been celebrating Engineering Week with special exhibitions, demonstrations and lectures. Before it wraps up, meet Sibel Deren Guler, creator of Invent-abling, interdisciplinary construction sets that demonstrate how to put science and engineering concepts to use. Activities are free with NYSCI admission. $15. At 3 p.m., catch The Lego movie in 3D, extra charge, $7 adults; $6 children. 47-01 111th St., Corona.

In addition to its acclaimed modern art exhibitions, MoMA is also a great place to see films. Currently underway is Documentary Fortnight 2015: MoMA’s International Festival of Nonfiction Film and Media. This year’s festival includes 21 feature films and seven short films, a performance lecture, an archival film program, and a flat-screen installation. Many of the directors will be present, and screenings are followed by discussions. On Saturday, catch the U.S. premiere of Polish director Elwira Niewiera’s film "The Domino Effect." 4 p.m. at MoMA, Theater 2. $12, free for members. 11 W. 53 St., Midtown.

Saturday, Feb. 21
Ghosts of the Past: Nazi-Looted Art and Its Legacies” is a two-day conference, involving noted art historians, historians and curators. Together the experts explore an often unexamined chapter of the legacies of the Third Reich. Broadway at 116th St., 501 Schermerhorn Hall, Columbia University, Upper West Side. Free.

Show off your movie trivia knowledge while watching the Oscars this evening at Le Poisson Rouge. The Big Oscars Quiz Thing and Screening kicks off with movie-based trivia from past and present, then sit back for the Oscars screening while quizmaster Noah Tarnow keeps the movie quiz fun flowing with cocktail-style, roving trivia action dealing with all things cinematic. From 5:30 p.m., $10. 158 Bleecker St., Greenwich Village.

Sunday, Feb. 22
During the winter months, the famous Brooklyn Flea moves indoors. Its current home is a 30,000-square-foot space in Crown Heights featuring 100 vintage and antique vendors plus 25 cool pop-up shops selling food every Saturday and Sunday. 1000 Dean St., (between Classon Avenue and Franklin Street), Crown Heights. The Museum of the Moving Image is celebrating the playful, creative, and prolific film and television work of Jim Henson with a monthly screening series, often featuring special guest appearances. Sunday at 1 p.m. they’re screening “Miss Piggy: A Sow is Born.” Later this year, the Museum plans to open a permanent gallery devoted to Henson’s work. 36-01 35th Ave., Astoria. $12.
