FORT GREENE — When it comes to upping your dance game, this is a slam dunk.

Brooklynettes captain Amanda Robinson is set to host a 10-week dance class at Fort Greene's Crunch Fitness where she will teach participants routines that her NBA dance team performs during Nets games at Barclays Center.

The class, which is open to both Crunch members and non-members, takes place Wednesday nights from 7 to 8 p.m. and focuses on cardio and core strength while giving participants access to professional choreography.

"Every routine I teach has been performed by the Brooklynettes at halftime," Robinson said. "For participants it's about coming out, having a good time and getting a good workout in."

Robinson plans to start the class with a dance created by Charles Smith, who has choreographed for artists like Ludacris and Lil Wayne, that incorporates moves from icons like Michael Jackson and James Brown.

The class lasts an hour and includes a warm-up and cool down.

Crunch fitness is located at 691 Fulton St., near St. Felix Street. The class is free for members and first time non-members can get a free guest pass to attend a class or pay $24 at the door.
