FORT GREENE — Burglars wreaked havoc at P.S. 67 in Fort Greene, stealing a computer and other electronic equipment, vandalizing classrooms and even pouring water on the school nurse's computer, according to police.

The thieves stole a laptop, network switch and other computer accessories in the school at 51 St. Edwards St. over the weekend of Sept. 19, the NYPD said.

They also damaged computer keyboards in five classrooms, poured water on the school nurse's computer and wrote on a dry erase board with a permanent pen, police said.

Police believe more than one suspect was involved in the crime, they said.

The incident took place while the school, in the Ingersoll Houses, was closed and locked, according to police.

School officials opened the school at 7:30 a.m. Monday and reported the crime to police, according to reports.

The school, which primarily serves children who are homeless or live in public housing, recently got Smart Boards in every classroom and a media center provided by Letitia James with 25 Mac computers, according to Principal Temica Francis.

It is unclear if any of those items were stolen.

No arrests were made, police said.
