FORT GREENE — A middle school janitor was arrested for raping a former student inside the school, police said.
Hernan Zapata, 51, was accused of raping a 17-year-old girl inside an office at a middle school in the area covered by the 88th Precinct Saturday afternoon, according to police and The Daily News.
Police did not disclose the location of the school.
The alleged victim is a former student at the school and was visiting a friend when the attack occured, the paper stated.
Zapata's 21-year-old daughter told the News that her father had worked at the school for nearly 18 years.
"They will all say good things," she said. "I don't know why anyone would say that."
He was charged with rape, criminal sexual act, sex abuse, sexual misconduct, unlawful imprisonment and assault, the NYPD said.
