Queens Man Gunned Down in Fort Greene Building, Police Said

FORT GREENE — A Queens man was gunned down in the early hours of Friday morning in Brooklyn, according to police.

The victim, Clifford Hubbard, 66, was found by police lying in the lobby of 56 North Oxford Walk with three gunshot wounds to the torso at 2:57 a.m., police said. 

The building is in the NYCHA Walt Whitman Houses complex. Hubbard had been shot once in the right shoulder and twice in the stomach, officers said, and rescuers responding to the scene rushed Hubbard to Kings County Hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival. 

Currently there are no witnesses or suspects in the case, according to police, and an investigation is ongoing. The investigation is being led by officers in the Police Service Area 3 bureau, which includes the Whitman Houses, police said.
