FORT GREENE — This film crew would make Miss Manners proud.

Staffers for a new TV series "Taxi Brooklyn South," which is taking over parts of Fort Greene for a week, wrote a note to locals apologizing for any inconveniece their film shoot has caused them.

"We recognize your community is a working and active neighborhood and we will be out of your way as soon as possible," The Location Department wrote in a letter posted on street signs surrounding Fort Greene Park Friday.

"Taxi Brooklyn South," which stars Chyler Leigh of Grey’s Anatomy and Inglourious Basterds' Jacky Ido, has been filming on sidewalks and holding dozens of parking spots for equipment trucks on Washington Park and Carlton, Myrtle, Willoughby and Dekalb Avenues.

The series, based on Luc Besson’s feature film "Taxi," is set to continue filming in the area through next Tuesday, angering local residents who posted an anonymous letter on neighborhood streets signs last week.

The letter read, "This our Neighborhood. We live here. We are real people. With real lives. Please finish your shoot and don't come back. You're not welcome here," Gothamist first reported.

The crew's note was a repsonse to the anonymous letter, according to a spokeswoman for the shoot.

"We heard about the frustratation in the neighborhood," she said. "We wanted to make clear that we have good intentions, that we are decent, and that we care."

"Taxi Brooklyn South" is the latest of three film and TV shoots to film in the neighborhood in the last three weeks, according to locals.

The Mayor's Office of Televsion and Film did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
