FORT GREENE — Local officials and community members offered $3,500 in reward money at a recent rally to any individual that reports information that will lead to an arrest in the Fort Greene Park murders of Jahmal Issac Page, 21 and Anthony Earl-Govon, 22.

City Councilwoman Letitia James said that police in the 88th Precinct are using surveillance footage from park cameras to identify the suspects.

“There are cameras all around Fort Greene Park and Ingersol and Whitman houses,” James said at the community rally in the park on Monday. “Your image is somewhere on those cameras, and you will be found and prosecuted. I urge anyone with information to come forward, and I extend my deepest condolences to the families of the young men killed.”

Page and Earl-Govon died of gunshot wounds to the head on Friday, Aug. 9 at approximately 11:30 p.m. near the barbecue area in Fort Greene Park.

A weapon was found at the scene and a police investigation is ongoing. Police are looking for a male suspect who was seen fleeing scene towards DeKalb Avenue, according to James.

Anyone with information should contact the Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS, text CRIMES and then enter TIP577, or visit www.nypdcrimestoppers.com.
