CLINTON HILL — Be careful buttering these muffins.
A recent Health Department inspection found live roaches at the Connecticut Muffin on Myrtle Avenue in Clinton Hill.
Inspectors found three sanitary violations totaling 21 points at the popular cafe June 28 including "conditions conducive to attracting vermin" and a lack of thermometers to "valuate temperatures of potentially hazardous foods," in addition to cockroach findings.
Representatives from Connecticut Muffin declined to comment on the Health Department's findings, but the eatery was not forced to close as a result of the violations.
A health grade is pending.
