FORT GREENE — Three singing sisters are hoping to take the Big Apple by storm.
The Bryant sisters Sapha, 20, Phila, 16, and Perail, 16, call themselves Eluminum and sing, dance, rap, and song write. In the last year they have performed at Harlem's Cotton Club of New York and the Alhambra Ballroom to name a few.
And they are determined to be noticed.
"We rehearse everyday and then we go out each night to promote our CD," Sapha said. “We want everyone to know who we are."
Hailing from Bay Shore, New York the trio travels to one of the five boroughs nearly every night.
On a recent Wednesday they pounded the pavement in Fort Greene hoping to sell their third and latest CD, Reborn. By the end of the night they were sold out.
Their albums have done just as well on iTunes, Sapha said.
Eluminum has only been an official group for the last four years but they have been singing together their whole lives.
The group is a family affair. The sisters are manged by their father Dwight Bryant, their brother wrote a song on their album and their mother makes sure they get to all their gigs on time.
"Before we were born our parents were in a singing group together," Sapha said. "Music and lyrics are just something that my whole family loves."
Their next performance is June 22 at the Alhambra Ballroom in Harlem.
