Man Sought For Alleged Assault in Downtown Brooklyn

DOWNTOWN BROOKLYN — Police are looking for a man accused of assault.

The suspect allegedly followed his victim, identified as a 64-year-old African-American man, into the employee entrance of 250 Schermerhorn Street. He then "struck him several times about the head and body, knocking him to the ground," according to police.

After allegedly repeatedly kicking the victim, the suspect left the scene only to return a few moments later to continue the assault.

The victim was removed to a local hospital for treatment, police say.

Police describe the suspect as an African-American male in his 30s, approximately 5'8" tall and weighing 260 lbs.
