DOWNTOWN BROOKLYN — The Manhattan-bound lanes of the Brooklyn Bridge will be closed to traffic for another round of construction this weekend.
From 12:01 a.m. Saturday to 6 a.m. Monday, workers will shut down the Manhattan-bound ramp while they rehabilitate the more than a century-old bridge's ramps and approaches. Drivers are advised to take the Manhattan and Williamsburg bridges and Brooklyn-Battery Tunnel.
Brooklyn-bound traffic will be redirected to ramps on Pearl and Centre streets and will take the lanes normally reserved for Manhattan-bound traffic.
The bridge's pedestrian and bike paths will remain open in both directions, although the pedestrian staircase at Frankfort Street in Manhattan will be closed from 6 a.m. Saturday to 11 p.m. Sunday.
