THE BRONX — A car accident on the Hutchinson River Parkway in The Bronx Thursday left one person dead and another injured, officials said.
Regina Coleman, 50, died when a 1999 Jeep Wrangler smacked into a guardrail and then hit the 1996 Ford Contour she was driving just before 6 a.m., the NYPD said. Both cars were traveling southbound on the Hutchinson River Parkway, near exit 4, south of Bartow Avenue.
Coleman died on scene, police said. The 20-year-old man was taken to Jacobi Hospital with non-life threatening injuries and is in stable condition.
NYPD do not suspect any criminality, though an investigation is ongoing.
