KEW GARDENS — A Massachusets man who pleaded guilty to the stabbing death of Forest Hills resident has been sentenced to 20 years in prison, Queens District Attorney Richard Brown said.

Alexys Fermaintt, 34, of Holyoke, Mass., entered the plea in June for the 2009 death of Michael Pecora, 38, who he allegedly met online.

“The sentence imposed today by the Court hopefully will provide a measure of solace to the victim’s family by allowing them to know that justice has been served and that the person responsible for the brutal attack on their loved one will serve a lengthy prison sentence,” Brown said in a statement.

Fermaintt stabbed Pecora multiple times inside the victim's 65th Avenue home on June 17, 2009. He then made off with Pecora's laptop computer, cell phone and watch.
