FORT GREENE — Sipping a margarita outdoors while a gang of men wearing leather vests battle their way through 1970s New York City — summer has unofficially arrived in Fort Greene.

Eco-conscious bar and restaurant Habana Outpost kicks off their summer, and fall, movie series this Sunday at 8 p.m. by screening "The Warriors" — a gritty NYC gang flick — in the spacious courtyard of their Fulton Street location.

The movies are projected on the wall of the building abutting the courtyard on South Portland Avenue, so customers can sit outside drinking a $2.75 cup of Six Point Sweet Action while cheering on Ralph Macchio as he balances the perfect one-legged crane pose in "The Karate Kid," which plays July 1.

Other films on the lineup include:

"Do The Right Thing," on May 20, "White Men Can't Jump," on July 15, "Billy Elliot," on Aug. 26, "Pulp Fiction," on Sept. 30, and "Ghostbusters," on Oct. 28

The movies play every Sunday at 8 p.m. Visit Habana Outpost's website for a full listing.

If you want to spend your entire weekend basking in the Habana vibe, the restaurant is hosting a "block party" on Saturday, May 19. The fun-filled day, will have a DJ, prizes, live music, clothes and art for sale, and clowns. The block party runs from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
