BROOKLYN — A person was injured when a car flipped near the Brooklyn Bridge Wednesday during the morning rush, stalling traffic on the busy span, authorities said.
The incident occurred shortly before 8 a.m. on the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway at Tillary Street, where the vehicle crashed and overturned, FDNY officials said.
The extent of the person’s injuries was unclear, officials added.
The incident forced the closure of all eastbound lanes of the BQE approaching the Brooklyn Bridge, according to the Office of Emergency Management.
All the lanes were reopened about 9:30 a.m. with residual delays, OEM said.
