QUEENS — Eight people were injured — including three children — in a multi-car crash on the Southern State Parkway Tuesday morning, authorities said.

The smashup, which occurred about 11:28 a.m. where the thoroughfare merges with the Belt Parkway in Cambria Heights, involved at least four vehicles, FDNY officials said.

The eight people hurt in the crash were taken to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center with unknown injuries, officials added.

It was not immediately clear what caused the crash or whether there was any criminality involved.
