HELL'S KITCHEN — Detective Olivia Benson paid a visit to a Hell’s Kitchen townhouse on Wednesday to film a short scene for “Law & Order: SVU.”

An ambulance, two police cars and an incognito detective vehicle were parked outside the building on West 51st Street, between Ninth and 10th avenues midday Wednesday while the long-running crime drama’s crew prepared for the shoot.

A small crowd gathered on the sidewalks as the show’s star Mariska Hargitay — who has played Benson since the series debuted in 1999 — jumped out of a detective vehicle parked across the street from the building and ran up its steps.

She appeared to comfort an actor playing a distraught man on the steps of the building before rushing inside.

Filming wrapped up soon after, and the show’s crew began packing up equipment.

"I wish Law & Order would film in my building so they'd fix it up as nice as they did this one," a bystander observed.

Signs posted on the street warned that cars on the street would be towed if they weren’t moved by Tuesday evening.

The show took over several streets in Inwood for filming in March.
