INWOOD — Filming for the long-running crime drama “Law & Order: SVU” took over a host of local streets Tuesday morning as actors Ice-T and Mariska Hargitay made the trip to Northern Manhattan.

Emergency vehicles including an ambulance and police cars were parked on Dyckman Street, just off Staff Avenue, as members of the cast joined a stable of extras for the shoot.

Portions of other streets in the area — including Seaman Avenue, Sherman Avenue, Cumming Street, Henshaw Street and Vermilyea Avenue — were closed off to parking during filming Tuesday morning.

Notices posted along the streets Monday night stated that the crew would arrive to set up at 5:30 a.m., with NYPD tow trucks in the area to enforce the no-parking rules.

The shoot is scheduled to continue until 7:45 p.m. Tuesday.

This isn’t the first time the show has taken over several Inwood blocks for filming.

In 2013, the series brought back some unpleasant memories while filming scenes reminiscent of the 2004 murder of Juilliard student Sarah Fox.
