BRONX — A 10-year-old girl was shot in the leg in broad daylight Wednesday afternoon in the Fairmont-Claremont Village section of the South Bronx, authorities said.

The incident occurred about 2:17 p.m. near East 169th and Fox streets, the FDNY said. The young girl was taken to Bronx-Lebanon Hospital in stable condition, fire officials said.

The shooting comes less than a day after four young men, including a 12-year-old boy, were shot on a basketball court Tuesday evening at East 180th Street and Daly Avenue, authorities said.

No one was killed in that incident.
