MANHATTAN SUPREME COURT — Both sides have rested in the murder trial of Linda Stein's accused killer and former personal assistant as attorneys prepare for closing arguments Monday.
Natavia Lowery, 28, was charged with identity theft and stealing about $30,000 from the celebrity broker before killing her in her Fifth Avenue penthouse apartment on Oct. 30, 2007.
After about a month of testimony from the district attorney's witnesses, Lowery's defense team declined to call a single witness and rested its case on Thursday.
The accused killer tried — but was not allowed — to fire her attorneys twice during the trial.
Deliberations are expected to start as soon as Monday.
