CHELSEA — Cops are hunting for two men who allegedly killed a Chelsea event planner, found bound and gagged in his apartment earlier this month.

Investigators are looking for Edwin Faulkner, 30 and Juan Carlos Martinez-Herrera, 26 for the killing of John Laubach, 57, who was discovered dead in his apartment on West 22nd Street on March 2.

Police said that Faulkner had served three years in prison for grand larceny and had also been arrested at least six times for drug possesion and burglary.

Martinez-Herrera had been arrested several times, including once for an alleged robbery, according to cops,

Last week, police released pictures of one of the men attempting to use Laubach's ATM card at a nearby bank. Police sources also said that cops recovered some of the victim's jewelery at a local pawn shop.

Friends of the victim, who was frequently seen with his cockatoo Bolo, said Laubach had befriended two men who were "hustlers and grifters" in the time before he was killed, but the relationship was not sexual.

Both Faulkner and Martinez-Herrera are around 5-foot-8 and 140 pounds.

Anyone with information about the whereabouts of Faulkner and Martinez-Herrera is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or to log onto the Crime Stoppers website.
