Trevor Kapp

Reporter/Producer @tkapp20 Contact

Trevor Kapp is a reporter/producer covering breaking news across New York City for DNAinfo.

He was born and raised in Alphabet City, long before the NYU and New School kids started moving in, as he likes to point out. He still lives there.

But he left the neighborhood in 2007 for four years and graduated from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill in May 2011 with a degree in Journalism & Mass Communication. While he enjoyed his time down South, Trevor missed Ray's Pizza, the R train and playground basketball too much, so he returned to New York.

Prior to joining DNAinfo, Trevor worked as a general assignment reporter for the Daily News, where he had more than 200 bylines.

Fun Fact: Trevor thinks he must own the New York City reporter record for getting asked by cops, "What are you, in high school?"
