Heidi Patalano is the Features Editor for DNAinfo New York.

Heidi started her career as an editorial assistant to cinema verite documentarian Frederick Wiseman.

She then worked for several years at Metro Newspapers, covering film, music and pop culture trends in addition to health and wellness, dating and technology. Among her most notable interviewees are Dame Helen Mirren, prosecutor of the International Criminal Court Luis Moreno-Ocampo and Oscar the Grouch. She has also written for Time Out New York and Travora Media.

Heidi holds a B.S. in Film from Boston University’s College of Communication and lives in Bay Ridge.

Fun fact: Heidi once starred as a soft-serve ice cream cone playing the keyboards in the short-lived band B-Lite and the Food People.
