QUEENS — Police arrested a parolee who they said slashed an A train rider across the face in a random attack earlier this month in Arverne.
Kasieem Tankersley, 31, sliced the 21-year-old man across the face with a sharp object aboard the Manhattan-bound train at the Beach 60th Street station on Oct. 8 around 1:30 a.m. before fleeing, the NYPD said.
The victim suffered a large gash and was taken to an area hospital in stable condition, police said.
Tankersley, of Brownsville, was nabbed Tuesday and charged with assault and a parole violation, police said.
He has 11 prior arrests, including for criminal possession of a weapon and attempted assault, according to police and the state Department of Corrections.
He was awaiting arraignment Wednesday in Queens Criminal Court.
