THE BRONX — A 10-year-old boy was robbed of his cellphone by teens who threatened to shoot him at an Olinville subway station, police said.

The muggers snatched the phone from the boy's hands inside the Gun Hill Road subway station, which serves the 2 and 5 trains, on March 27 around 3:35 p.m. the NYPD said.

The suspects walked out of the station as the victim followed, but one of the suspects then told the boy he had a gun and told him to back off, leading the victim to run back into the station while the robbers fled in an unknown direction, police said.

It was not clear why the NYPD waited two weeks to report the theft.

The first suspect was described as 14 to 16 years old, standing between 5-foot-3 and 5-foot-5, with a slim build, and last seen wearing a gray hoodie and a gray backpack, police said.

The second suspect was described as 16 to 17 years old, standing 6 feet, weighing 200 pounds, last seen wearing a dark-colored hoodie, blue jeans and a black-and-red backpack.

Anyone with information in regards to this incident is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
