CRIME BLOTTER: Teen Arrested for Robbing, Threatening to Kill 13-Year-Old

EAST FLATBUSH — A 15-year-old boy was arrested this week for robbing a cellphone from a 13-year-old boy and threatening to kill him, police said.

The victim told police the older teen and another teen suspect still at large, surrounded the younger boy inside 555 Kingston Ave. near Rutland Road at 3:30 p.m. on March 21.

The pair grabbed his cellphone, then told him they would kill him. The 15-year-old was arrested the same day and police are looking for his accomplice.

The 13-year-old was uninjured in the robbery, police said.

► A 54-year-old man was arrested for assault after he punched a man, then hit him with a socket wrench after the two got into an argument on Utica Avenue. The altercation took place March 18 at 530 Utica Ave. Alphanso Williams, 54, was charged and released from custody with an order of protection for his victim, court records show. His legal representative from Brooklyn Defender Services could not be reached for comment.

► A 45-year-old man was arrested after throwing a piece of ice at his friend’s head, cutting the victim’s face and mouth. The two were arguing on Empire Boulevard and Nostrand Avenue just after 6:30 p.m. on March 18. The suspect was charged with misdemeanor assault. The victim suffered minor injuries.
