PROSPECT-LEFFERTS GARDENS — Three men were arrested in a drug raid on Hawthorne Street last week, police said.
Officers executed a search warrant in two apartments at a Hawthorne Street building between Bedford and Rogers avenues on March 3. Inside, they found marijuana, packaging materials, scales, drug paraphernalia, a forged credit card and an expandable baton, police said.
Three men, ages 24, 38 and 47, were taken into custody after the raid. They face a series of violations and misdemeanors, including possession of marijuana and possession of a forged instrument, court records show.

► Two suspects armed with a boxcutter stole a handbag from Payless Shoes, police said. The pair entered the shop at 428 Utica Ave. at 7:20 p.m. on March 2 and tried at first to take shoes. When a worker confronted the two suspects, one said “I’m going to stab you” and pulled out a boxcutter. On the way out of the store, they grabbed a Christian Siriano handbag worth $49 and fled on foot, police said.
► A 44-year-old man told police his tires were stolen from his car parked on Ocean Avenue. The man returned to his vehicle across from 305 Ocean Ave. just after midnight March 3 and found all four tires with their rims taken. No other property or parts from the car were taken. Damage from the theft totaled $3,280, police said.
