THE BRONX — A man lured an aspiring model to a motel room by placing a modeling ad on Craigslist and then raped her when she tried to escape, the NYPD said.
The 21-year-old victim met the attacker at a room at the Paradise Motor Inn on Boston Road near Adee Avenue in Allerton at about 3 p.m. on Jan. 11 after finding the ad, police said.

When she got there, they began talking and he demanded she hop on the bed, police sources said.
The woman then tried to leave, but the man raised his fist, put his hand around her neck and raped her, the NYPD said.
The suspect was described as standing about 5-foot-10 and was last seen wearing black pants, a black zip-up sweatshirt and a black baseball cap.
Police did not indicate why the incident is only being publicized now.
