CROWN HEIGHTS — A 19-year-old man was arrested for using counterfeit bills after a Dunkin’ Donuts worker caught him using a fake $20 bill to pay for a coffee and doughnut this week, police said.

Around 6 p.m. on Jan. 26 a worker at the store, located at 40 Empire Blvd., called the police. They said they searched the teen and found $100 in fake $20 bills in his jacket pocket.

He was charged with forgery and petit larceny Jan. 27. Court records show he is also facing similar forgery charges in an open case stemming from an arrest in lower Manhattan this past summer.
