Woman Hurt in East New York Hit-and-Run, Police Say

BROOKLYN — A woman suffered severe injuries when a hit-and-run driver smashed into her Wednesday night, police said.

The 54-year-old woman was struck on Pennsylvania Avenue, near Sutter Avenue in East New York, about 11 p.m., an NYPD spokesman said.

She may have suffered a broken leg along with injuries to her arm, pelvis and torso, police said. She was treated at Brookdale Hospital.

The driver wasn't immediately found, police said.

The woman does not remember being hit, police said.
