Watch a Woman Dye Her Hair on the 4 Train

By Nicole Levy | January 18, 2017 2:06pm | Updated on January 18, 2017 2:48pm

We thought we'd witnessed every bizarre spectacle there is to see riding the underground rails in New York City: a performance artist unleashing a bucket of crawly insects on the D; a "Showtime!" dancer banging his head during a subway stunt; droves of pants-less men and women casually boarding multiple subway lines in the dead of winter; and straphangers belting out an unrehearsed, an impromptu rendition of Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody" on the R train.

We were wrong.

A video posted to the YouTube account "Funny AF" Tuesday and written up by The Grapevine shows what appears to be a woman dyeing her hair on a Manhattan-bound 4 train.

Seated between two other passengers, the woman rubs dye into her hair with hands covered in protective gloves. She pays no mind to her videographer — or the stains on her forehead.

Where did this fearless beautician rinse off her locks? We may never know. (We've reached out to the account that uploaded the video, and we'll update this story if we hear back.)

Nonetheless, we're pretty sure the MTA would file this behavior under the subway etiquette category of impolite primping.
