Soak Up Some Christmas Spirit at These Bars and Restaurants

From bulbs to lights, every inch of Rolf's is covered in Christmas decorations each December. Diners can drink German beer or enjoy traditional German fare such as schnitzel and bratwurst while soaking up some festive spirit. And if you don't want Christmas to stop after Dec. 25, don't worry. Rolf's keeps the decorations up through the end of May.

Molly's, which touts itself as the "most authentic Irish bar in New York City," brings out the lights for Christmas. Strands of red, yellow and multicolored lights hang over wooden booths and over the bar serving pub favorites such as burgers and shepherd's pie. If you don't feel like cooking on Christmas Day, the restaurant will have a $39 three-course, prix fixe menu.

Pete's Tavern celebrates the holidays by hanging strands and strands of red lights. Grab a spot at the huge wood bar and soak up some history with the 1864 House Ale, which celebrates the neighborhood drinking spot's status as reportedly the oldest continuously operating restaurant and bar in New York City.
