BEDFORD-STUYVESANT — You won’t have to leave Brooklyn to get your holiday shopping done this season.
Whether its knickknacks from your local general store or a relaxing treat from the neighborhood’s wellness center, you can grab a gift for everyone on your list at several shops in Bedford-Stuyvesant.
The holidays can get a little hectic, which calls for some time to de-stress. The Khadijah Hands Project Life Wellness Center has gift cards for massage and acupuncture sessions at the 376 Tompkins Ave. storefront, with appointments starting at $65.
Massages are priced up to $150 with options such as deep tissue, Swedish, restorative and therapeutic stretch. You can also unwind with acupuncture and massage combos. The Wellness Center hosts the Stuyvesant Indi Bazaar each holiday weekend, featuring local vendors selling accessories, natural products, clothing, and other goods.
Give the gift that keeps on living with a variety of plants from flower shop and café, Bohaus, located at 406 Marcus Garvey Blvd. Pick up some succulents and cacti for that friend or relative with a green thumb, or select an assortment of dried flowers for an arrangement. Prices range from $10 to $50.
Tumbleweed, a general store and gallery, offers some cute cat mugs for you to warm up with this winter. The shop at 363 Tompkins Ave. also has a Cobble Hill outpost on Henry Street, and both locations have plenty of animal and Brooklyn-themed mugs, housewares, flannels, toys, shoes and more. The pair of cat mugs costs $30, and prices vary for other products.
