CRIME BLOTTER: Chinese Food Delivery Man Assaulted and Robbed, Police Say

CROWN HEIGHTS — Two mask-wearing men lured a delivery man to a Union Street apartment building before assaulting and robbing him, according to the NYPD.

The 28-year-old Chinese food delivery man received three phone calls about a food order to be delivered to 1655 Union St. on Dec. 8, police said.

When the man arrived with the order at 8:50 p.m., the residents in the apartment where he was told to go said they had not ordered food.

As the delivery man was leaving the location, two men wearing black masks and clothes approached him in the building’s staircase, punched him in the face and stole the food, $200 in cash and a set of keys.

The pair of suspects fled in a beige vehicle parked in front of the building and traveled east on Union Street.
